2 Weeks

Today has been 2 weeks since Roman was born!  The days are going by fast but it still feels like we've been waiting forever!

We have been waiting for his Phinabarb levels to lower from the medicine he was on so that he can have another EEG test.  They checked again this morning and they were at 16.9 and need to be at 15, so they have moved the EEG again until tomorrow.

Everyone is asking how they can help, but the best way is for you to keep praying!

Monday Night

In the morning Roman will be checked to see if his blood levels are okay, if they are they will run another EEG test around noon. Pray for Roman, it is hard to see his sweet body being put through all of this.  His lungs are not doing very well by continuing to stay on the ventilator.  We don't want TaNia and Saleem to be forced to make any hard decisions about Roman's life, we are putting him in the hands of God.  He knows our prayers and that we want him here with us, we are praying that God would start to show us his healing powers in Roman's body.

Day Eleven

I know everyone has been checking the blog (Thank You) and there hasn't been an update for a couple of days, I'm sorry.  It's hard to write something when there isn't anything to say...

There have not been many changes in Romans body, they took him off of the seizure meds so that they could do another EEG on Tuesday, they may have to put him back on it though today due to some spasms that are happening. That would mean they could not do the EEG.  We are all in a waiting time, not sure what is going to happen next but still believing that every step of the way God's hand is on him.  It's been a week and a half since Roman was born, it's getting harder every day because we are all becoming so attached to him, I can't imagine how TaNia and Saleem must feel.  

We still have faith that God can completely restore him.  Please continue to pray for Roman and his entire family.  We all need strength right now for each other and for Roman. 

Praying for Restoration

   I was praying with Roman last night and I began to speak the 23rd Psalm over him. As I continued through it my mind went back to verse 3, 'He restores my soul...'. With Tara and TaNia I began to pray over him that he would berestored. The Holy Spirit quickly reminded me of the video I watched earlier in the day of Roman, that I had recorded in the first hour after his birth. In this video he was crying, smiling, looking around and being a healthy newborn. 

   Remember, Roman was born perfectly healthy, he was not born sick. 

   I know a lot of people have been asking how to pray so we can be in agreement. Let's pray that God will restore Roman.

I wanted to let everyone know that TaNia and Saleem did not meet with the Dr. today, they will most likely meet with him tomorrow.  I know we have a lot of people praying and believing for Roman and I didn't want you all to go without an update today.

We need everyone to pray for Roman's blood pressure, it started going up and down last night, as of right now it is normal.  He has had some swelling in his body also. So we are still believing for his brain to be completely healed, for him to begin breathing on his own and for his blood pressure and swelling to go down.

As you continue to pray for Roman's complete healing. Please also pray for TaNia and Saleem tomorrow as they meet with the Dr's that they have the Wisdom of God in these critical moments.

MRI Results

We received the results from Roman's MRI, they did not come back good. The Dr's are saying that there was severe damage done to both sides of his brain.  They asked TaNia and Saleem what they would like to do and they told the Dr's that it was not time to give up hope.  They did say earlier that Roman's breathing machine level is set at 16 and that it is showing him breathing at 19 so that means he is breathing a tiny bit on his own.

It is time for a miracle in Roman's body.  PLEASE keep believing with us that Roman's body would be miraculously healed.  He needs God to breathe LIFE into his sweet body.
