Our hearts hurt today as we grieve the loss of Roman but find comfort in all of your kind words and knowing he is with Jesus completely healed.

Several of you have asked about giving towards Roman's Memorial.  Two people have kindly set up ways to give, please see the links below if you would like to donate in lieu of flowers.

Donations can be given through Harvest Church at:

As soon as we have the details for Roman's service we will be sending an update.

8-26-10

At 1:16 am this morning our sweet baby Roman went to be with Jesus.  Even though we are hurting and have been praying for his healing we know that ultimately he got his complete healing.  We are all grateful for the 3 weeks we had to be with Roman on this earth, and look forward to the day we will see him again.  He had such a sweet spirit and is truly loved by so many, he has made his place in our hearts forever.

We can never say thank you enough to our family, friends, loved ones, and even people who didn't personally know our families who have continued to pray and send their love and support.  Pray for strength for the families and for healing for TaNia and Saleem.

Roman is a blessed little boy to call Heaven his home!

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the home going of his saints"

Day 20

We received the results from Romans MRI, they came back the same as his other reports.  His brain is not producing any good brain waves.  At this point TaNia and Saleem are ready to hand the situation over to the Lord, pray they have God's peace to comfort them. We know that God has a plan and a reason why, even when we can not see it or understand, we trust in Him.  We still believe that God can heal Roman at any time, and continue to pray for his healing.

We need Gods love to surround TaNia and Saleem and to be with our sweet baby Roman and for His grace to cover all of Romans family.

Thank you for staying faithful with your prayers, they mean everything.

Day 18

Tomorrow morning Roman is scheduled for another MRI, we are continuing to pray for his brain activity to be restored.  Without a miraculous change in the days ahead TaNia and Saleem will be faced with hard decisions.  They will need God's Grace to cover them, we have never had to lean on God more than we have now.  We know Roman and his family have been covered by your prayers and we are so amazed to see how many people have come together to help us fight for his life.  Please keep praying!

Psalm 103:1-4
Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me,
Bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits toward Roman;
...who heals all Roman's diseases,
Who redeems Roman's life from destruction,
Who crowns Roman with lovingkindness and tender mercies

Day 16

Roman has grown 3 inches and weighs a little over 8 pounds!  He looks like a big boy compared to the other babies in the NICU, they are mostly premies.  We will post more pics soon!  He's so beautiful!

He was able to have his EEG yesterday morning, we have not received results from the test yet.  The nurse did come in yesterday evening and gave Roman more of his seizure medicine :( she said they did not have full results but it looked like there had been more seizure activity on his EEG so they wanted to put him back on the medicine to prevent anymore.  TaNia and Saleem have decided to send the results of the EEG and MRI to a Children's hospital to get a second opinion.  This may take a couple of days but they want to be confident that they have done all they can before making any further decisions.  Today has been a hard day, we are all so emotionally exhausted, especially TaNia and Saleem.  We are living on your continued prayers for our strength. Even when we sometimes feel like there is nothing left to do, we have to trust that he CAN!
