I want to say thank you to everyone who has been praying for our sweet baby Roman, we have people all over the world praying for his healing!  It has been such a comfort knowing that this precious new creation has an army of believers speaking life over him.

Roman was born on Wednesday August 4th at 11:59am!  Just a few weeks early due to his mom (my sister) TaNia's high blood pressure.  He weighed 7lbs 5oz and was 18 inches long, everything was perfect! Later in the evening Roman stopped breathing, no one is sure why or how long he was without oxygen, he was rushed to the NICU to  be put on the breathing machine.  Because he went without oxygen his body began to be filled with acid. Within a few hours of being resuscitated they transferred him to Dallas Presbyterian hospital to be put on a cooling blanket.  They did not transfer TaNia so Roman's father Saleem along with friends and family have been by his side day and night.

By morning the cooling blanket had gotten rid of all acid!  The Dr's concern is with Roman's brain activity, they have run tests but have not yet seen good results.  Thursday morning they also found an irregular heartbeat and so began medicine for that. As of Friday that was working like it was supposed to.

Friday morning 8-6-10 we began speaking Romans 8:6, To be spiritually minded is LIFE and peace. Friday evening we were told that Roman's breathing machine had picked up irregular patterns, which could mean that he is trying to breath on his own!  THANK YOU JESUS! We know Roman is fighting for his life!

This morning (Saturday) TaNia was discharged from her hospital and finally able to be with Roman for the first time since Wednesday night.  She has been so anxious to be with him, it has been a very difficult couple of days being separated and feeling helpless.

Around midnight tonight they are planning to begin bringing Roman's body temperature up to normal. This is a six hour process. In this time we are praying and believing for a complete healing in his body. They will be running a specific test again during this time on his brain. We are praying for his brain activity to start functioning normally.  We know that God can turn it all around, Roman will be a living, breathing miracle!

Please everyone continue praying for Roman, he is so beautifully perfect laying there, while he was with us on Wednesday we could all sense such a sweet spirit from him.  He is SO loved by so many people.

Also say a prayer for TaNia and Saleem, they are being so strong but hurting so much.  It's heartbreaking.

Roman is a fighter!  We believe the report of the Lord!!!

  5. Roman's life was ordained by God, for a purpose far greater than any of us know. If he were to live a normal life and just be a normal Christian, saving people as we do, he wouldn't have been attacked--especially this early on. He will live a purpose driven life because of how it has started. His destiny is great and his miraculous healing will be only a small snipet of his testimony. As Pastor Gary always says, "The greater the test...the greater the testimony." This is one test we are fighting with him. You each are in my prayers and I love each of yall. You have touched my life in a way you will never know. I am the person I am because of your implantation of the word in me. I pray for supernatural healing, comfort, grace, wisdom, and peace for each of yall each day. Yall are special to me...and thanks Tara for the blog. TaNia and Saleem--keep your head up...you have an extraordinarily special son...and he WILL defeat this war he is going through!

    Love yall!
